The study of Industrial Design and Planning carried out by Lastdesign began in 2003 thanks to the ideas of Roberto Stanzani, who graduated with the maximum marks at the Institute of Car Science in Modena (Italian Acronym: ISSAM).
The institute provided him with the qualification of "Stylist Engineer", with the knowledge of important design subjects including Aerodynamics, Materials and History of Design.
After some years of collaboration with important Industrial Design and Planning Offices, in order to acquire the necessary competences in the key sectors, Roberto decided it
was time to create what would become the Lastdesign Office.
Today the office, that continues to specialise in Industrial Design and Planning, collaborates with many Companies in this sector in order to provide a comprehensive service for
clients that begins with the product's conceptualisation, to reach the final prototype with all prints.
The job and consultation method of the Office can be separate in three steps:
- CONCEPT
Market Research.
Preliminary studies, sketches and photorealistic renderings, created using aesthetical evaluations, which are formal, functional, ergonomic, of technical feasibility, with attention to the cost-benefits relationship. - DESIGN
Preliminary mathematical models - 3D surfaces - created with precise dimensional data.
Preliminary study of the graphics applied to the product.
Photorealistc renderings, raytracing and Animations 3D, elaborated on the preliminary mathematical models, to value, with the client ,every design aspect and to allow tests on market.
Models of style, realised in real dimensions or in staircase redoubt. - ENGINEERING
Elaboration of 3D mathematical models, for solids and surfaces, CAD 3D Planning, dimensional Controls, data Exchange with client.
Construction of models (in job’s centers cnc and/or with rapid techniques of prototipation), prototypes, master models and production equipment.
